Another detail I never really noticed in Coco until I was doing screengrabs tonight:

the guards don’t look happy at all to be throwing a kid into this pit.

The one on Miguel’s right steels himself a little when they let go, but the one on the left’s expression never changes from that guilty, regretful look. He’s even turned his head and is clearly averting his eyes from Miguel, as if he can’t really look at what he’s doing.

The consequences of saying no to de la Cruz must be rough, if it makes a man go against his own morality.

After that comic about a young Hector, Ernesto and Imelda I decided I wanted to make a picture of Hector and Miguel to see the similarities between them 😀 both are 12 here

I’ve just been on a Coco artwork binge lately, don’t worry, I’m not abandoning Undertale, I just really wanted to draw a lot of Coco fanart lately XD

“I just want to send him home…”

Though technically this could be applied to a few different situations, what I had in mind was a moment in the Coco novelization. After Imelda confronts Miguel at that iron gate and he runs away again, she actually went back to meet up with the family, but then took a seat on a bench and started to cry…I honestly felt so bad for her ;w; You’d never imagine her the type to break down ever
